El DUO DELIBES está integrado por las hermanas Esther y Sara Gutiérrez, un dúo de violín y piano cuyo propósito es dar a conocer el amplio y rico repertorio para esta formación, desde un sólido trabajo de música de cámara.

Nacidas en Valladolid, donde comienzan sus estudios musicales, tocan juntas desde muy temprana edad y en 2010 realizan el primer concierto de su trayectoria profesional como dúo, en el Auditorio Miguel Delibes de Valladolid. Desde entonces han actuado en importantes salas de España como la Sala Delibes del Teatro Calderón y Sala de Cámara del Centro Cultural Miguel Delibes de Valladolid, Sala de Cámara del Auditorio Lienzo Norte de Ávila, Teatro Victoria Eugenia de San Sebastián, Sala Eutherpe de León y Jardí dels Tarongers en Barcelona. Actúan también en Alemania (Schwartzsche Villa en Berlín), Francia (Capilla Le Mesnil des Arts en Montaut de Villreal), Holanda (en diversas salas de Rotterdam, Wassenaar, Leiden y Tilburg) y Austria (Instituto Cervantes de Viena, Palacio Frohnburg y Alte Residenz en Salzburgo). También han participado en prestigiosos festivales como el "Festival Internacional de Música de Santander", "Internationales Klavier Festival" en Hainfeld (Alemania), "Las noches del Olivar" en Madrid y el XXVII ciclo de música de cámara "Martes musicales" en Vitoria.

Son ganadoras del 2º premio en el XII Concurso de Música de Cámara "Ecoparque de Trasmiera" de Cantabria. También han sido premiadas en el II Concurso de Cámara de Cofrentes (Valencia).

Esther y Sara se forman en importantes escuelas nacionales como l'Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (Barcelona) y el Conservatorio Superior de Música de País Vasco-Musikene (San Sebastián) e internacionales como Codarts-Hogeschool voor de Kunsten (Rotterdam) y Universität Mozarteum (Salzburgo), finalizando ambas sus estudios con las más altas calificaciones.

Han recibido clases como dúo de los profesores Lavard Skou-Larsen, Abel Tomàs, Stephane de May y Kennedy Moretti y asistido a masterclasses con Isabelle van Keulen, Matti Raekallio, Ivan Zenaty, Troels Svane, Larissa Groeneveld, Natasha Morozova y Manuela Gouveia.

Han sido becadas por la Fundación Municipal de Cultura de Valladolid, el programa "Jóvenes Excelentes" de Caja Burgos, la Fundación JONDE-BBVA y el Gobierno de Holanda.

Actualmente Sara es profesora en la Universidad para las Artes "Codarts" (Rotterdam, Países Bajos) y Esther es miembro de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Baden-Baden (Alemania) en calidad de ayuda de solista de los primeros violines.

ESTHER GUTIÉRREZ comienza sus estudios musicales de violín a la edad de cinco años. En 2013 finaliza el Grado Superior de violín en la Escuela Superior de Música de Cataluña (ESMUC) con el profesor Abel Tomàs, miembro del Cuarteto Casals, con las más altas calificaciones. Recientemente ha finalizado sus estudios de máster en la Universität Mozarteum de Salzburgo con las más altas calificaciones, bajo la tutela  del renombrado profesor de violín y director de orquesta Lavard Skou-Larsen. Esther ha sido becada por la Fundación BBVA para llevar a cabo parte de sus estudios.

Fascinada por el repertorio de música de cámara, toca regularmente con su hermana, Sara, formando el Dúo Delibes. También fue miembro fundador del Constanze Quartet, con el que tocó desde el año 2016 al 2020. Con éste ha recibido el tercer premio en el concurso internacional "Anton Rubinstein Chamber Music Competition" en Düsseldorf (Alemania), ha sido finalista en el "Ysaÿe International Chamber Music Competition" en Lieja (Bélgica) y ha actuado en salas y festivales de Austria, Francia, Alemania, España y Brasil. Su CD de los cuartetos de Draeseke con la compañía discográfica alemana CPO ha recibido excelentes críticas en revistas musicales internacionales. Con otras formaciones también ha recibido menciones de honor en los concursos ‘Higini Anglès” en 2012 y ‘L’Arjau’ en 2013.

Esther disfruta también interpretando música sinfónica y posee una amplia experiencia en el terreno orquestal, comenzando con la Joven Orquesta de Castilla y León y la Joven Orquesta Nacional de España, con la que ha actuado en diversas ciudades de España, Italia, Francia, Alemania y Rumanía. De 2014 a 2021 es miembro de la orquesta de cámara ‘Salzburg Chamber Soloists’, con los que ha realizado giras en Sudamérica, China, Francia, Italia, Alemania, Austria, España y Eslovenia. Actualmente es miembro de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Baden-Baden (Alemania), en calidad de ayuda de solista de los primeros violines.

SARA GUTIÉRREZ comienza sus estudios musicales en su ciudad natal, Valladolid, cursando posteriormente el Grado Superior de Piano en el Centro Superior de Música del País Vasco “Musikene”, en San Sebastián, bajo la dirección de Marta Zabaleta y Miguel Borges y Josep Colom en Música de Cámara. En Junio de 2013 finaliza el Master en Piano con el profesor Stephane de May en Codarts-Hogeschool voor de kunsten, Rotterdam (Holanda), con las más altas calificaciones. Posteriormente trabaja con el maestro Matti Raekallio en Hannover (Alemania). Es ganadora de primeros premios en concursos de Piano y Música de Cámara en España y ha recibido el apoyo de diversas entidades para continuar desarrollando su carrera.

Sara ofrece recitales regularmente en importantes salas de España, Holanda, Bélgica, Suiza, Francia, Portugal, República Checa y Austria y es invitada a participar en importantes festivales. También ha actuado en diversas ocasiones como solista con la Orquesta Sinfónica de Codarts, dirigida por Hans Leenders en De Doelen – Rotterdam, y con la Joven Orquesta de la Universidad de Valladolid.

Siempre interesada en la música de cámara, forma el Dúo Delibes de violín y piano con su hermana, Esther, y el Gutiérrez-Mosquera Piano Duo con el pianista Federico Mosquera. Actualmente compagina su actividad concertística con la docencia en "Codarts" - Universidad para las Artes de Rotterdam (Holanda).

DELIBES DUO is comprised of sisters Esther and Sara Gutiérrez from Valladolid (Spain). The aim of Delibes Duo is presenting the wide and rich repertoire for violin and piano through a solid chamber music work.

They started to play together at a very early age, performing the first concert of their professional career as duo in 2010, at Miguel Delibes Auditorium in Valladolid. Since then they have performed at many important venues in Spain as Delibes Hall of Calderón Theater and Chamber Hall of Centro Cultural Miguel Delibes in Valladolid, Chamber Hall of Lienzo Norte Auditorium in Ávila, Club Hall of Victoria Eugenia Theater in San Sebastián, Eutherpe Hall in León and Jardí dels Tarongers in Barcelona. They also have performed in Germany (Schwartzsche Villa in Berlin), France (Chapelle Le Mesnil des Arts in Montaut de Villareal), The Netherlands (several concert halls in Rotterdam, Wassenaar, Leiden, and Tilburg), and Austria (Instituto Cervantes in Vienna, Frohnburg Palace and Alte Residenz in Salzburg). They have been invited to perform at pretigious festivals such as 'Santander International Music Festival' in Cantabria, 'Internationales Klavier Festival' in Hainfeld (Germany), 'Las noches del Olivar' in Madrid and XXVII chamber music festival 'Martes Musicales' in Vitoria.

In 2014 they have been awarded with the 2nd Prize in the XII Chamber Music Competition 'Ecoparque de Trasmiera' in Cantabria. In 2017 they have also been awarded with a price at the II Cofrentes Chamber Music Competition (Valencia).

Esther and Sara have studied at very important Spanish Conservatories such as l’Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (Barcelona) and Conservatorio Superior de Música del País Vasco-Musikene (San Sebastián), and international as Codarts-Hogeschool voor de kunsten (Rotterdam) and Universität Mozarteum (Salzburg), finishing both their studies with the highest possible grades.

As a duo, they have received lessons from professors Lavard Skou-Larsen, Abel Tomàs and Stephane de May. They have also attended masterclasses with Larissa Groeneveld, Isabelle van Keulen, Matti Raekallio, Ivan Zenaty, Troels Svane, Larissa Groeneveld, Natasha Morozova, Manuela Gouveia and Kennedy Moretti.

They have been awarded with grants and scholarships from Fundación Municipal de Cultura de Valladolid, the program “Excellent Youth” from Caja Burgos, JONDE-BBVA Fundation and the Government of The Netherlands.

Currently Sara holds a teaching position at Codarts University for the Arts (Rotterdam, The Netherlands) and Esther is member of the Philharmonic Orquesta of Baden-Baden (Germany), as sub-principal of the first violins section

ESTHER GUTIÉRREZ started her violin studies at the age of five. In 2013 she finalized her degree of violin with the best qualifications at the “Catalonia College of Music” university (ESMUC) under the direction of professor Abel Tomás, member of the famous Casals Quartet. Recently she has finished her master degree at Mozarteum University in Salzburg (Austria) with the highest grades under the guidance of the renowned violinist and conductor Lavard Skou-Larsen. She has received a scholarship from the BBVA Foundation to help her with her musical studies.

In her fascination for the chamber music repertoire, aside from the violin – piano duo with her sister Sara, she was a founder member of Constanze Quartet from 2016 until 2020. With them she has won the third prize in the international competition 'Anton Rubinstein Chamber Music Competition' in Düsseldorf (Germany), she has been in the final round of the 'Ysaÿe International Chamber Music Competition' in Liège (Belgium) and performed in important concert halls and festivals in Austria, France, Germany, Spain and Brazil. Their Cd with the German label CPO has received excellent critics by international music magazines. With other ensembles she has won honour mentions in the competitions 'Higini Anglès' in 2012 and 'L'Arjau' in 2013.

She also loves to play symphonic music and has an extense experience playing in orchestras. She has started as a member of the 'Castilla y León Youth Orchestra' and the 'Spanish National Youth Orchestra', with whom she has toured around Spain, France, Italy, Germany and Romania. From 2014 until 2021 she is a member of the chamber music orchestra 'Salzburg Chamber Soloists', touring around South America, China, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain and Slovenia. Currently she is a member of the Philharmonic Orquesta of Baden-Baden (Germany), as sub-principal of the first violins section.

SARA GUTIÉRREZ finished the Bachelor Degree at Music College of the Basque Country 'Musikene', in the class of Marta Zabaleta and Miguel Borges, specializing in chamber music with Josep Colom. In 2013 she got the Master Diploma with higher grades under the guidance of Stephane de May at Codarts-Hogeschool voor de kunsten, Rotterdam. Afterwards she continues developing her career working together with Professor Matti Raekallio in Hannover. She has been awarded with first and second prizes in Piano solo and Chamber Music competitions in Spain and received the support of several entities for the develop of her career.

Sara gives often recitals at many important venues of Spain, The Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Portugal, Czech Republic and Austria. She has been invited to take part in many important festivals and she has performed as soloist with Codarts Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Hans Leenders in De Doelen, Rotterdam, and with JOUVA Orchestra in Valladolid.

Sara is an active chamber music player, forming the violin and piano Duo Delibes with her sister, Esther, and the Gutiérrez-Mosquera Piano Duo with pianist Federico Mosquera. Currently she is combining her concert activity with a teaching position at Codarts University for the Arts (Rotterdam, The Netherlands).
